Apparve in edicola negli anni ’90 e prevedeva 100 uscite.
The Del Prado dollhouse kit represented for many the first step into the world of miniatures. It appeared in the 90s and was distributed in newsstands. Each of the 100 issues cost around 5 €. It had a booklet, that was part of a publication in 6 volumes dedicated to the dollhouses and the miniatures.
With the editorial product they provided also the material, mostly pre-cut sheets of wood, to build the structure of the house and the furniture. Lighting, windows and doors, bathroom fixtures, fabrics and wallpapers completed the house.

What a nice surprise finding my Del Prado dollhouse here! 🙂 It was my very first dollhouse ever, and though I totally enjoyed building it, I’d probably would make it different now.
I absolutely LOVE what you are doing with it, fantastic job! I’m delighted to follow the building and every single step of it.
I have added a few details to the facade of my dh, and it’s about time I took a proper picture of it… I’ll let you know when I have it ready, so you can update it here too.
Thank you for sharing your project with us!

I am very pleased to meet you, Evelyne! 🙂
Two years ago, when my daughter Dada and I started to build the Del Prado dollhouse, we did not have any experience. Working on it we learned a lot and now looking back, also we would have done many things differently. But as you say, we we’re having fun.
You did a good job on your Del Prado house and I enjoyed browsing your Picasa album. I will be happy to update the picture of your dollhouse’s facade, as soon as it is ready.
I’m following your blog too. I like that you build your own miniatures and share with your readers the explanation of how you made them!
Even though you live on the other side of the world, the same passions and interests bring us closer… 😉
See you soon
Ersilia
